Ritu serves as General Counsel and heads up BEAR’s risk and legal strategy initiatives, leveraging over 12 years of specialized legal experience across the real estate and construction industries. Ritu began her career in real estate development and property management for large institutional property owners. She then pivoted towards the construction sector, providing dedicated counsel for general contractors and construction managers. Ritu’s legal philosophy is rooted in pragmatism, carefully balancing risk exposure against the practical reality of what is needed to successfully get jobs started, executed, and closed out.
Outside of work, Ritu sits on the PAWS Chicago Professional Board and serves as an adoption counselor at the PAWS Lincoln Park Adoption Center. Ritu is also an active member of the Professional Women in Construction organization.
