On November 17th, “The Shania Girls” participated in the 2022 GOA Regional Business Association Annual Fundraiser Lip Sync Battle. The event allows local business members to compete for the belt! Performers lip sync to their song of choice in front of an audience and panel of judges. The Shania Girls were composed of Alicia Gabriel and Paola Sprenzel of BEAR Construction, Laura Bulat of Capital One, Anne Kiwala of Northwest Special Recreation Association (NWSRA) and Paola Ferrario of Region Nine Development Commission.
The Shania girls were the first group (not and individual) to ever compete in the battle! The girls danced/sang to “Man I Feel Like a Woman” in support of the Itasca Chamber of Commerce, benefiting the greater O’Hare business community.
According to lead “singer” Paola Sprenzel, “The Lip Sync Battle was an opportunity to come together and ignite a true sense of teamwork as the first group to ever perform with multiple companies represented: Capital One, BEAR Construction Company, NWSRA and Region Nine Development Commission! While we didn’t win, we had the best time and created memories to last a lifetime… and we are coming to win the belt next year!”
