The Rusu-McCartin Boys & Girls Club of Chicago, built by BEAR Construction, was highlighted in season 3, episode 6 of America By Design: Architecture. The episodes segment, hosted by Jen Masengarb, Executive Director of AIA Chicago, features interviews with Katherine Darnstadt, Founding Principal of LATENT DESIGN, Nicolas Anderson, Principal/Technical Director of LATENT DESIGN and Cody Stambaugh, Senior Project Manager of BEAR Construction. They discuss the project’s development, the challenges faced, the purpose-driven design informed by feedback from a council of Chicago’s youth and how the Club was a collaborative effort of the community.
