BEAR Wins Chicago Building Congress Merit Award

🏆 WINNER! BEAR is excited to announce that our Rusu-McCartin Boys & Girls Club of Chicago project has won the Chicago Building Congress Merit Award in the Commercial Construction Under $50M category.

“We are extremely honored to have been selected as winner of this prestigious award. Without the hard work and dedication of our BEAR team members Terry Car, Saikumar Gampa and Kevin Philbin as well as Latent Design and our trade subcontract partners – and countless others – this would not have been possible. To have constructed such a landmark building within this community that has, and will continue, to impact so may lives in a positive way is truly a blessing we will long remember,” said Senior Project Manager Cody Stambaugh.

Congratulations to all the other finalists and winners!

The project has previously won the 2023 CISCO Project of the Year Award, the 2024 Community Development & Partnership Award from the Federation of Women Contractors and was a finalist for both the ’23 CoreNet REAL Small Project of the Year Award and Chicago Commerical Real Estate Awards. It has also been nominated for a 2024 Mies Crown Hall Americas Prize (pending).
