Project Details
BEAR completed a 15,000-SF renovation for Edward Hospital. The Intensive Care Unit was renovated in an occupied hospital. The project included all new specialized mechanical systems, anti-rooms, patient rooms and nurse stations throughout. In addition, a new state-of-the-art Operating Room #8 was built to accommodate the demand for more procedures. Renovations to adjacent operating rooms 1 through 7 and 10 through 14 were also completed in phases to reduce the amount of disruption and help keep the hospital operating. Project logistics, IDPH & ICRA safety guidelines were critical as disruption to adjacent rooms were not an option. BEAR worked around the clock to meet aggressive deadlines and deliver the project on time and within budget.
