A return confidential client – entrusted BEAR Construction Company to manage their Manufacturing Plant Upgrade project to accommodate a new product line. The project scope included new structural concrete, structural steel, mechanical HVAC, plumbing, roofing, doors, frames, hardware and industrial strength coatings inside the facilities existing two-story building for a new ranch salad dressing process area 3 production line. BEAR coordinated with both the plant and process operation teams throughout construction (including weekend work) and followed strict plant safety guidelines and food safety protocols with zero incidents. BEAR performed selective demolition to existing CMU walls and existing concrete foundation slabs to support new underground plumbing. New cast-in-place concrete foundations were installed at new steel column locations to support the new proposed 2nd floor loads. A new P3 production line storage tank platform was furnished and installed on the second floor of the building. A new CMU Electrical room was constructed on the 2nd floor level inclusive of all new doors, frames and hardware. All four work areas received floor prep and new fluid applied epoxy coatings in addition to new wall coatings. A new AHU was furnished, installed and set via helicopter on the new steel roof curbs and included all new stainless-steel ductwork, exhaust fan and control thermostat plus complete commissioning, testing and balancing of the system.
