Project Details
This 12,940-SF office building was completely gutted and renovated by BEAR to make a fully accessible multi-generational facility serving residents of all ages. The largest programming space is 8,480 square feet dedicated to meet the community’s needs for indoor recreation spaces for children, teens and adults in a variety of areas. The remaining 4,460 square feet houses the Batavia Park District’s administrative offices and maker spaces as well as the Batavia Depot Museum exhibits and an area used by Batavia Access Television. The community center features a variety of recreational programming, including a community room, a gathering place for active older adults, enrichment programs for children and multi-purpose spaces. The Depot Museum has dedicated collection storage space and a museum lab for their curator to assemble exhibits.
