BEAR was selected to manage converting an existing 20,000-SF warehouse into a Freezer/Cold Storage Facility with infrastructure to convert to 100% freezer capabilities in the future if needed. The existing concrete floor slab was removed and excavated down to provide for an insulated and zoned heated floor system under the entire area. The warehouse was converted into a split cold storage facility and freezer with a new cooling system and equipment, fire sprinklers, insulated metal wall and ceiling panels, new insulated coiling doors, new high speed roll up doors and a new lighting system. The existing office space was expanded and remodeled to include new finishes throughout as well as small touchdown offices and a break room. The electric service and IT infrastructure was increased to handle the additional loads and networking.
